Spain’s international trade registered in 2015 its shortest deficit since 1998: exportations experiment a higher growth than importations, despite of the fact that Spanish investment is definitely back and consumption is up.
Spain’s exports registered the highest historical level rising by 4.3% in 2015 and the main reason for this is the recovery of European markets and Spanish competitiveness as well as several favorable contributions (euro, oil, etc.).
The value of Spanish exports overcame 250 billion € and this helped reducing the negative foreign trade balance of Spain. The recovery of the European markets helped increasing the Spanish exports and the demand for more products also has grown.
Spanish external sales are especially positive in automotive sector and automotive components, which demonstrate the competitiveness of its industrial sector.
